Tanya Dower - Principal

Tanya was admitted as a Barrister in 2003, working for a number of years at the Queensland Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions.  In that role she prosecuted a wide range of matters including property, violence and sexual offences through to manslaughter and murder.

She then moved to a role as a Senior Lawyer at the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions where she prosecuted Federal matters including fraud, drug importations and taxation matters before specialising in online child exploitation matters.

When Tanya made the transition to being a defence solicitor, she proved that her significant legal experience coupled with an understanding and empathetic approach was just what her clients were looking for to guide them through one of the most difficult times of their lives.

Tanya has extensive experience appearing in Magistrates, District and Supreme Court hearings, sentences and bail applications as well as instructing Counsel in District and Supreme Court trials.
